Creating a cohesive school identity

  • Challenge: overcrowded spaces created a need to rent 6 modular classrooms for each building in the district

  • Solution: $85 million referendum campaign for a new school, achieving a staggering 67% pass rate

  • Designed for up to 1,000 6th-8th grade students:

    • 24 classrooms, 6 science laboratories, 3 resource rooms, 1 self-contained classroom, Spanish, Art, Music, and Orchestra rooms

    • Learning Commons with adjacent STEM classrooms

    • Teachers' Lounge and Offices

    • Fitness Center and Locker Rooms.

  • It was very collaborative from the beginning,” a district official says. “Key stakeholders were brought in for all areas of the project to make sure everyone got what they wanted.”
